Handfasting/Weddings
Trained, experienced, reverent CAYA Priestesses and Priests are available to help you create a personal ceremony or rite of passage. Our significant public ritual offerings give us the opportunity to cultivate a sense of poise, balance, and heartfelt joy that are of benefit when assisting others in marking important life transitions. It is our pleasure to honor your vision for your ceremony and offer our own creative and supportive suggestions to help you create a ceremony that is unique and meaningful to you
A CAYA Clergy member is legally able to perform a wedding ceremony through either membership in the Universal Life Church or Fellowship of the Spiral Path. Whether you wish to create a legally-binding ceremony or an entirely spiritual ceremony to acknowledge your sacred union with a partner, a CAYA Clergy member can help you create a ritual that is personally-relevant, sensitive toward whatever spiritual path(s) might be represented by the couple/the wider circle of attendees, and filled with a holy sense of respect. Typically, you will meet three or four times with your CAYA Clergyperson during the preparation for your wedding or handfasting: once or twice to discuss your preferences and create the ritual outline, once for the rehearsal, and once for the ceremony. If you have a preference for a clergy member who shares your sexuality to perform your ceremony, please let us know. If you wish to have more than one Clergy member work with you on your ceremony, please let us know. Finally, if there is a specific clergy member you would like to work with due to a personal preference, please let us know. We encourage your to also consider Gray Lady for your wedding/handfasting photography if you plan to have it. Having a pagan who know what to look for to capture the ceremony's essence in a photo can be a really wonderful addition to your ceremony.
The suggested donation for a wedding/handfasting is $250.
