Learn how to use herbal treatments to respond to common first aid situations, from burns and cuts to sprains and poison oak exposure! We will discuss how to make decisions about choosing between holistic and conventional first aid responses. Together we will make yarrow salve, a great way to start an herbal first aid kit. Whether you’re interested in learning more for your own self-care, your family, or your community in general, this a practical and fun way to learn about herbal medicine. Appropriate for beginner plant enthusiasts over the age of 12.

Brunem Warshaw is a clinical herbalist and wellness educator who combines both western and energetic approaches to support people in healing themselves with the assistance of plant medicines. Brunem graduated from the Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine in Portland, OR and the Blue Otter School in Fort Jones, CA. They are now a faculty member at the Elderberry School and have been teaching and practicing herbal first aid for years. Brunem has helped organize and run multiple pop-up clinics providing first aid to people in the woods and in the city. Brunem brings a radical queer lens to their work and values ancestral reconnection magic in their practice as an herbalist.
