Rites of Passage:
The Dance of Sovereignty with Sir Gawain and the Loathly Lady
with Laurel Lazuli, Moss, and Heidi Marian

Saturday-Sunday, June 11-12
Private location, RSVP for address in Oakland
Sliding scale $90-$240

Journey with us through the landscape of dream, trance, myth, and magic. Are you ready to meet your guides, reclaim sovereignty, heighten intuition, work through blockages, and stretch your priestessing skills? With Sir Gawain and the Loathly Lady as our guides, we explore themes of desire, consent, enchantment, liberation, self-care, and sacrifice.

This class will offer you the skills to work with dreams, ritual, and trance in an intimate, supportive environment. We will utilize consensus-based feminist process, sound, movement, ritual, group and individual work, and deep trance states. As one of the core classes of Reclaiming, this material will help you build skills at the foundation of our living tradition. We are lucky to do this work so close to the Summer Solstice, and we will strive to work with the green bloods and the rhythms of the season and the land in our weekend intensive.

Sir Gawain and the Loathly Lady is a story from the Arthurian legends, and one that has been retold many times in many places, all over the world. In this class, we joyfully engage in a radical feminist interpretation of this story so that it can be alive for us today, and responsive to the times we live in.

Class space is limited. Sliding scale $90 - $240, some scholarship available.
