Better Soil, Better Food… A Better World
with Joel Salatin
Saturday, April 23, 12:00-9:00PM
Tara Firma Farms, 3796 I Street, Petaluma
see website for registration information

Icon of restorative farming Joel Salatin returns to Tara Firma Farms to share his wisdom, humor, and his latest learnings and best practices on how to use natural processes to improve soil health - which in turn leads to healthier livestock and produce for us to eat.

This year, Joel will be joined by several soil management celebrities who are based right here in Sonoma County:
Paul Kaiser of Singing Frogs Farm, and Toby Hemenway, author of Gaia's Garden, the best-selling permaculture book of all-time. We are very blessed to have such experts in our local community!

The main event for the day will be Joel's keynote presentation, which will begin at noon. After Joel, Paul will present on the success his team has had in making their no-till farm one of the most profitable farms per acre in the country - while simultaneously making it one of the richest in soil health. Toby will follow, explaining how to use natural processes to our best advantage to grow in both wet years and dry. We'll bring the event to a close with all 3 back on stage for a meaty "ask me anything" Q&A session with the audience.

We are very, very lucky to have Joel back with us this year. And to have him joined by local experts like the Kaisers and Toby Hemenway simply makes the day even more perfect. The more we all learn how to grow our plants and animals naturally, the closer we move to a sustainable food production system that is healthy for both humans and the planet. What better legacy to leave the next generation?
