with 13 Moon CoLab
Sunday, February 7, 1:00-4:00PM
Gill Tract Farm, San Pablo Avenue at Buchanan Street, Albany
We are offering a PlaceMaking workshop at the Historic UCB Gill Tract Farm in Albany. We will meet in the Classroom Under The Clouds: at the corner of Buchanan Street and San Pablo Avenue. This will be an opportunity to learn about permaculture’s foundational practices, and to get a chance to practice ecological design. The UC Gill Tract Community Farm is a collaborative community project between the University of California Berkeley and the local community, focused on issues of food justice and urban farming.
13 Moon CoLab are four mothers whose compelling love for our children and the future they will inhabit sent us in search of a fuller, more joyful, less threatened world. Our separate journeys led us to the study of permaculture, somatics, homesteading, and community, and ultimately to each other.
Sharing an understanding that the Earth is our body, and that our separation from this truth allows us to participate in a destructive ethos, we are dedicated to an ever deepening relationship with one another, our students and permaculture’s ethical foundation of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share.
