Tale of the City: The Story of Urban Rebirth
Thursday, February 4, 5:30-8:30PM
The Sacramento History Museum, 101 I Street, Old Sacramento

The Sacramento History Museum is proud to announce our brand new exhibit titled Place & Replace: Making Old Sacramento with an exhibit opening on February 4, 2016.  To add to the exciting evening, we will be unveiling this pivotal new exhibition concurrently with our annual fundraiser.  Tale of the City: A Story of Urban Rebirth promises to be a lively event with food, refreshments, community, and activities throughout the evening.

Place & Replace: The Making of Old Sacramento will explore the complexities of Sacramento’s mid-century redevelopment.  Using photographs, artifacts, film clips, archival materials, and engaging interactive elements, Place & Replace will tell the story of our community, and how the city chose to preserve its heritage for future generations.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the chance to explore historical documents, share their own Sacramento experiences with others, and collaborate on a creative imagining of our city’s future.
