Ambrosia, the Nectar of the Gods, the Divine Drink of Lovers and Poets

Come taste and explore the role of magic in the processes of mead making, herbal medicine, and potion craft while beginning a mead to be offered up to Dionysus!  In this class we will sample different magical and unique varieties of Mead, as well as learning the art and practice of fermenting with honey and herbs.

In this workshop we will explore:
the magical lore and origins of honey wine
the health properties of honey, propolis, bee pollen
a few medicinal plants
how to infuse honey and mead with herbs, fruits, and more

Benjamin Pixie has been a Mead Maker and Herbalist for over 15 years, and a Beekeeper for 10 years. He will be bringing honey from his hives in Washington and sharing samples of honey, mead, and magic as well as stories, poetry, and seeds of hope and resistance in this time of great change.  He is husband to 4 million virgin maidens who dedicate their lives to sex work; the flowering, fertility, and fecundity of the Earth.  In addition to beekeeping, he is a mead maker, a conjurer of spirits, herbalist, a hide tanner, leather worker, and warrior poet. He is the father of two shining radiant little witches.
