Create your own SuperHero with personalized powers to share and astound the world! Who will YOU be?

Unlike any other fair or festival in this or any other universe, the SuperHero Street Fair, from the co-creators of the How Weird Street Fair, is an unrivaled amalgamation of breathtaking entertainment, music, art, dance, contests, interactive and immersive activities and feats of strength, games and challenges that brings together the single greatest gathering of jaw-droppingly beautifully adorned, costumed super revelers known to mere mortals.

The SuperHero Street Fair will be a unique opportunity for people to reveal their hidden talents. This year the SuperHero Street Fair asks, "How have you used your extraordinary power and abilities to help your community and those around you?" The SuperHero Street Fair will honor the good citizens of our fine metropolis with "SuperHero Awards" that celebrates the “superhero” within all of us.

No SuperHero is complete without swelling and majestic theme music to feel truly empowered and get the hair on your arms to stand up, that’s why the SuperHero Street Fair will feature 7 sonic stages of beats and breaks from the Bay Area’s leading EDM and Dance sound camps. Show off your best badass Batusi dance moves and gyrations from MUTI Music and the Venus Tour Bus, Enchanted Forest, Pulse, Dancetronauts, Santa Cruz Cypher Sessions, Solid Gold Jacuzzi, Trapeze and more.

You’ve spent a lot of time creating that one of a kind costume, so show it off to earn prestige and win prizes in the “Hero Vs Villain Kostume Kontest.” Try to out-clobber each other in the Gladiator Jousting matches and Superhero vs. Villains tug-o-war taking place every-hour-on-the hour, and immerse yourself in alternative worlds and good vs. evil scenarios in the Virtual Reality Intergalactic Zone.

The SuperHero Street Fair will host an array of art and interactive and immersive experiences from some of the Bay Area’s most talented League of Extraordinary Super Creative Types. Watch the drone races over the waterfront and Inflatable Floating Water Orbs as they ride the Islais Creek tide. Don’t miss SuperHero Master Piece Gallery, and be bedazzled by the Sky High Odditorium and North Bay AirART aerial acrobatic teams.

As night falls over Gotham, look for the SuperHero Street Fair Batman-type Skyblaster spotlight logo projected into the sky to help you find the party at night. Check out otherworldly art and lighting displays, including LED light artwork boardwalk by Animatronic Flowers, Solar Galaxies, Light Tunnel, Desert Spring, and Visikord, and escape into the Video Dance Light Wall after dark. Be sure to stroll through the expanded Light Sculpture Waterfront Garden, and don’t miss the multi-colored Lazer projections across the Islais Creek and the specially designed fireworks display designed by one of Burning Man’s firework teams.

If you need a new gadget or gizmo to augment your utility belt to continually combat evil in your dashing displays of daring do-goodery (or villainy), visit the expansive outdoor waterfront bazaar featuring a wide assortment of local crafts, amulets, trinkets, baubles and also fashion designers (in case your costume is not up to par). Additional exhibitions are provided by the Cartoon Art Museum, Jack Kirby Museum, and Mission Comics. Delectable edibles and adult beverages and potions (21+ to drink), will be served from a vast selection of the city's finest on-site food trucks. Additional new games and interactive experiences to be announced in the coming weeks.

SuperHero Street Fair brought to you by Climate Theater, Laird and Anon Events; strange otherworldly beings gifted with unique and indescribable superhuman strengths, powers and abilities far beyond those of mere mortal party, fair and festival producers. For over 30-years the dynamic duo of Joegh Bullock and Laird have been involved in the creation of inimitable and indescribable celebratory carnivals that honor the human soul, heart and spirit, including The How Weird Street Fair, Decompression Street Fair, Masquerotica, and Sea of Dreams.
