Poor Charlotte didn’t want to put a coat on over her pretty dress… and now she’s frozen solid. Inspired by a cautionary poem written in 1843, Frozen Charlottes were popular “penny dolls,” often given as gifts, reclining in little coffins and accompanied by stern words of warning. (Ah, those fun-loving Victorians.) You will use a genuine vintage Frozen Charlotte and create her little warning book, coffin, and, if desired, a pretty dress for her to wear to her doom. The coffin has a mica lid so you can see Charlotte inside, the snow whirling around her.
