You’re invited to stroll through Joan and Mo Sanders’ lovely Atherton garden. Sip wine and taste appetizers made from its harvest at stations tucked in among sculptures and garden rooms. Invite friends to join you - make it a Fall evening to remember!
Joan Sanders has lived in the Bay Area since 1970. She studied flower arranging with Virginia Farewell for 25 years. Ms. Farewell focused on using flowers and other seasonal materials from one’s own garden. In 1997 Joan was instrumental in the start of the Floral Design program at Filoli and the hiring of Ann Patrick to teach the classes there. She has served on the Floral Design Committee at Filoli for many years, helping to create beautiful arrangements. She has taught several classes at Gamble Garden. Her garden reflects her passion and creativity, it is filled with beautiful art, sitting areas, and of course beautiful plants.
