In the greater culture, teenage girls are twice as likely to suffer from depression than their male counterparts. This is also often the time when girls, in their need for self-defining, push away from their mothers. Our girls feel lost in a culture that provides no healthy compass for them to navigate the beautiful and exciting changes that come in the teenage years.
Join us in this inaugural season of camp and be a part of re-weaving this regenerative female culture so that your daughter can thrive and you can preserve your relationship with her through these years!
Artemis is the Greek goddess who watched over, protected and helped initiate girls into their womanhood. She is also protector of the natural world with bear and deer as totems by her side. She is a self-possessed, loving, and fierce woman who has cultivated a healthy, strong, and intimate connection to the earth and the earth’s creatures. She calls each one of us forward to love and care for the earth, ourselves, and each other.
Be a part of a thriving village where girls, aunties, and mothers can feel part of a healthy and beautiful female and earth connected culture. Give yourself and your daughter the gift of being supported in the transition from her childhood into her teenage years by a healthy and inspiring intergenerational female culture.
