60+ Purveyors: The 2014 event hosted the most vendors of fermented foods and beverages that we have ever seen. Join us in 2015 as we welcome back over 40 vendors of non-alcoholic goods and another 20 that will pour cider, beer, mead, or wine. This event is the only place you can find such a diversity of fermented foods in one place!
DIY Classes: We offer classes for everyone! If you've never fermented before or if you're a home-fermentation expert: we've got something for you. Pick up some great tips and tricks from the professionals! If you've never seen Todd from Happy Girl Kitchen in an Elvis suit making pickles like a rockstar, you're missing out on some spice in your life!
Fermented Root Beer Floats: What happens when a keg of Triple Root Beer from The Kefiry and a few gallons of Straus Creamery and Bliss Coconut ice cream meet at the Fermentation Festival? Insanely yummy probiotic root beer floats are created. What happens when some of the ice cream makes it’s way into Peak Organic Brewing’s Oak Aged Mocha Stout? Dreams come true.
Equipment & Books: Don't forget to bring a few extra bucks along in case you see the perfect handmade crock for your sweetie or want to pick up a book after listening to the author. We'll have a full book store packed full of the best books on fermenting - as well as a number of authors present to sign and chat with you about their recipes!
DIY Classes and Tasting Classes: In addition to all of our free classes, there will be more opportunities to get some DIY experience. Join Laguna Farm for a kraut-a-thon and take home your own quart of sauerkraut to ferment, or purchase a seat in one of our hands-on demo classes! We will also have limited tickets available to tastings and pairings. Pairings and tastings will sell out before the day of the event, so be sure to get your seats as soon as they are available!
