Deep Dreaming: Experiencing the Web of Interconnection
with Richard Russo, MA and Meredith Sabini, PhD
Saturday, August 1, 1:00-4:00PM
The Dream Institute of Northern California,
1672 University Avenue, Berkeley

Deep Dreaming is an innovative process in which dreams are viewed as holograms that can be shared and explored for their collective implications. Developed at The Dream Institute and originally called “Culture Dreaming,” this process is like a group spiritual or shamanic practice that enables participants to journey for the upheaval of our times, to discover its profound dimensions, and witness its creative unfolding.

This new
approach to group dream sharing draws on field and emergence dynamics and provides a living experience of our underlying interconnectedness.

The first part takes place in a mild trance in which dreams are invited to emerge and be told (it is not necessary to select a dream to bring ahead of time). The session’s dreaming is then read as a single cohesive narrative, and its imagery and themes imaginally explored in group discussion.  In the final part, participants re-enter a dream scene especially meaningful for them.  Although no personal information is shared at any time, participants often have deeply meaningful
experiences and gain new insights into their dreams.

Previous experience in meditation, active imagination, hypnosis, or shamanic journeying is helpful but not necessary.

An orientation for first-timers, which is required for participating, will be given before the start of the dreaming session; returnees are also welcome. Program starts promptly at 1:30PM and begins with a silent meditation; doors cannot be opened for latecomers.

NOTE: This is the only session of Deep Dreaming that will be open to the general public on a one-time basis during the rest of 2015.  In the Fall, there will be a Deep Dreaming study group, which will require having attended at least one previous Deep Dreaming session and a commitment to four monthly sessions, September-December.

If you are curious about the Deep Dreaming process, or have participated in past Deep Dreaming and/or Culture Dreaming sessions but have been away for a while, or if you think you might be interested in the Fall study group but have never experienced the process, come to this special summer session!

Registration: Register by phone or email. You may pay upon arriving.
