Independent Hip Hop Festival: Women’s Empowerment
Saturday, July 4, 12:00-7:00PM
Impact Hub Oakland, 2323 Broadway, Oakland

This is a free, all-ages, all-day event from 12:00-7:00PM on 4th of July! Women are underrepresented in hip hop, and with the Bay Area being a capital of human trafficking in our country, it is only right we empower the voices of positive role models for young girls.  This show will feature the best of all four elements of hip hop that the Bay has to offer. With MCs The Rezurwrectaz, Dom Jones, Hopie, Hazel Rose, Breathless, Charity Clay and Ryan Nicole, Peaches Djs, B-Girl/ Street dancers and the Few and Far Women art collective, this will not be one to miss! Also we will have a panel discussion on Independent Women in Hip Hop at 1:00PM. BBQ will be served all day, so come celebrate Independence Day with local independent hip hop!
