The multi-talented Adey is a vocalist, pianist, composer, and actor. As singer/songwriter she joins the ranks of such solo female virtuosos as Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan and Joni Mitchell, blending classically influenced piano composition with raw lyrical reflective intimacy. The daughter of two concert organists, and a consummate performer, she lures audiences with her textured, melodic piano and warms them with a voice as gritty with soul as it is soaring with ambiance and mystery.
Adey’s impeccable one-woman- show, like an impressionistic cabaret, invites us to take a journey, not to bring us further out from ourselves, but leading us back to our center. Her repertoire of originals colored by her classical, jazz & contemporary influence makes her impossible to classify. “Like a celtic knot, the meaning in her weaving melodic lines goes far beyond the perceptible”. Her music could be described as therapeutic meditation merged into a series of transcendental vignettes - to be in the presence of Adey’s sonic landscape is a much welcomed life changing experience.
