Beaver Tour & Talk in Sonoma Creek
presented by the WATER Institute
Wednesday, June 24, 6:00-8:00PM
Maxwell Farms Regional ParK, 100 Verano Avenue, Sonoma
The Occidental Arts & Ecology Center WATER Institute is pleased to announce that we will be co-convening with the Sonoma Ecology Center a FREE beaver tour and talk in Sonoma Creek on June 24, 2015.
The tour will be from 5:00-6:00PM and the talk from 7:00-8:00PM. We will be touring the dams and beaver-created habitat at Maxwell Farms Regional Park.
Wear sturdy shoes and meet at 4:45PM in the parking lot above the baseball diamond.
Bring a picnic dinner to eat at the park before joining us for the slide show presentation at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall Lounge just down the road from the park.
If you know people who have been meaning to make it out to one of our talks, now is the time. This is the first time we will be incorporating a tour of some active beaver dams on Sonoma Creek, so if you haven’t had a chance to see the work of beaver, this will be a good opportunity! We hope you can join us and spread the word to those who may be interested.
