The Summer Solstice is the time when the sun shines highest and brightest. Little can escape the intensity of the Summer Solstice Sun. And just as the intensity of the Sun brings things to light on Earth, Hecate’s blazing torches bring light to how things really are. What are some things that have recently come to light for you?
In this month’s ritual we will examine things that have come to light for us, ponder the lesson that this revelation has revealed, and come away with a better understanding of the message Hecate has sent to us.
Attendees are encouraged to wear black.
We gather under the Dark Moon to honor Hecate, Queen of the Crossroads. We explore her magic and mysteries in this circle each month, using the reflective nature of this time of the moon and the cycles of nature to gain new insight in our work and in our lives.
Beginners and seasoned devotees of Hecate are all welcome, as well as those who are on the witchcraft path, but who might not be familiar with Hecate yet.
Jake (Rustic Philosopher) has been on the pagan path for 16 years. Along the way, he has studied Wicca, Hellenic Paganism, and Druidry. He was a part of Kern County Pagan Circle (2009) and one of the founding members of Cottonwood River Grove, ADF (2011) until relocating to Oakland in 2013.
Susan has been practicing within the Reclaiming tradition of Wicca for almost twenty years. She is self-taught in Astrology and Tarot and has been reading charts for more than a decade. She is a lifelong Bay Area native.
