Hands-On Seed Saving
Saturday, May 16, 10:30AM-12:00PM
Grange at SHED, 25 North Street, Healdsburg

Explore the exciting and time-honored art of seed saving with Matthew and Astrid Hoffman, co-founders of the Marin-based The Living Seed Company. If you’ve never tried to save your own seeds before, let Matthew and Astrid guide you through the basics of planning, harvesting, processing and proper storage of seeds. They will also cover the history of seed saving, the best types of seeds to save, and how to integrate the important technique into your garden planning.

The Living Seed Company is an organic and heirloom seed company that serves the greater Bay Area and is dedicated to planting the seeds of world peace through supporting the act of families, friends and communities growing food together. The Living Seed Company preserves the diversity in our food through the distribution and growing of open pollinated seeds and educating about the life affirming art of seed saving.  Astrid and Matthew live and farm happily in Point Reyes Station.
