Happy Hour with the Emperor's Niece
with Julie Driver, great great great great niece of Emperor Norton
Wednesday, April 29, 5:30-7:00PM
Comstock Saloon, 155 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco
Yes, his actual niece!
The Emperor's Bridge Campaign is honored to have been in touch with 15 of Emperor Norton's family members. Most of them live in South Africa - where John and Sarah Norton arrived from England in May 1820 with their sons Louis, Joshua (the future Emperor) and Philip. There also are "representatives" of the Emperor's family in Namibia, Australia, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.
Among these, a particular friend and correspondent of the Campaign has been Norton genealogist Julie Driver, who lives in Ontario, Canada.
Julie is Emperor Norton's great, great, great, GREAT niece.
Now and again, Julie makes her way to San Francisco, the seat of her uncle's Empire. Her next visit is late this month - and we are delighted to invite you to join us for a Happy Hour gathering with Julie Driver as our special guest of honor!
