All are welcome. Due to host Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, and to keep the event accessible to others with MCS as well, we ask that all guests refrain from wearing fragrances.
Melissa has started an extensive medical treatment protocol for advanced Lyme Disease, and needs our help to keep this going so she can regain her health. We're at a crucial point in her recovery process. Tax-deductible donations can be made out to "The Melissa Crabtree Fund at Sweet Relief”
More about the artists:
Rachel Garlin is a singer-songwriter whose character-filled songs have been noted for their vivid, lyrical imagery and themes that are "fresh and often unexpectedly moving" (East Bay Express).
Green and Root's songs are original and emotionally potent, sung with presence and sublime harmonies.
Watching Shelley Doty perform is awe-inspiring due to her masterful guitar licks, soulful voice and charismatic stage presence.
Internationally acclaimed musicians Lisa Ferraro and Erika Luckett serve up their exquisite brand of Acoustic World Soul. Brimming with inspiration and heart opening music, these Shamans of Song bring their goodness to audiences across the globe. Lisa and Erika's combined voices blend so seamlessly we forget there are two of them, and the multifaceted guitar playing is so versatile that one instrument becomes a funk band or a trio of flamenco playing gypsies.
OutMusic Awardee Irina Rivkin layers her poetic lyrics with rich textured harmonies, swirling with vocal percussive beats, all created live on-the-spot using her loop station instrument. Rivkin “performs her own breathtaking act as a "live one-woman choir" (using digital looping technology to astonishing effect)” Michael Dougan, SF Chronicle
Special guest Andrea Prichett, known for her collaborations in Rebecca Riots and Leave it to Diva, as well as for her passionate and lyrical solo work, inspires with her rich bluesy voice.
