Come and Help Plant the Future! at Sonoma County’s 6th Annual Laguna Re-Leaf Day
What is the Laguna Re-Leaf Day?
It’s like a walk-a-thon except we plant trees instead of walk miles! Volunteers ask friends, family, and co-workers to support them by donating money to help the Foundation’s tree planting restoration project. Funds that are raised in the Laguna Re-Leaf Day support the Foundation’s mission and its Restoration, Conservation Science, and Education programs.
Who can participate?
Families, individuals, classrooms, and businesses are all invited to participate!
What happens the day of the event?
On April 11, 2015 we will spend about three hours, 9:00AM-12:00PM, planting 600 native trees and shrubs. This planting will create healthier wildlife habitat, mitigate climate change, and improve air and water quality by restoring the riparian cover along Irwin Creek. After all your hard work, we will celebrate with a lunch provided by the generosity of our Gifts In-Kind Sponsors!
