Jewels of Paris… a revolutionary new musical revue!
presented by the Thrillpeddlers
Thursdays-Saturdays, March 19-May 2, 8:00PM
The Hypnodrome, 575 10th Street, San Francisco
Inspired by the artistic revolution erupting in Paris nearly a century ago, Jewels of Paris is a time-traveling tuneful testament that revels in love, life, artistic, social and sexual change - seen through the eyes and ears of Parisian luminaries including Pierrot, Picasso, Cocteau, Josephine Baker and even Marie Antoinette. Revues... (a combination of song, dance, spectacle and sketches), originated in Paris in the late 19th century and soon traveled to Broadway via the Ziegfeld Follies. The revue genre is a Thrillpeddlers specialty. Paris is a wonderful window for viewing our own lives in ever- & rapidly-changing San Francisco, lovingly referred to as the "Paris of the West."

Our intimate venue seats only forty-five guests, so we recommend you purchase your tickets in advance. "General Admission" seats are filled on a first-come basis and we encourage patrons to arrive early (the doors open at 7:30PM). For couples seeking intimacy or an added jolt from their visit to The Hypnodrome, our signature "Shock Box" seats are well worth the higher ticket price. Winner of SF Weekly's Best of San Francisco Award for "Best Bonus Theater Experience" these themed loveseats (Heaven and Hell, The Pharaoh's Tomb, and The Asylum of Shock), offer the same opportunity for illicit trysting that was once a feature of Parisian theatres - thanks to a sheer curtain that can be drawn to conceal the goings on inside each private booth. In our "Turkish Lounge," a couple may bask in decadent languor and kick back among oriental carpets and silken pillows while enjoying the show.
