Women’s Three Part Moon-Listening Series
with Alison Wood of Newmoonshine
Sunday, April 19 2:00-6:00PM
private location in Point Reyes Station
$30-$40 for single session
*Note* this series is just for the ladies. Gentlemen, please do read on if you have a woman you’d like to support by gifting her a space in this course!
I believe conscious tending of women’s menstrual cycles has the power to bring world peace - or, rather, world balance. As my own moontime becomes a sacred guiding force in my life, I realize how deeply these practices ache to be shared, how much we need one another’s support to love & hold our moontime.
For women, the womb is the root source of intuitive power. When we learn to listen intimately to our creative core, we open a portal to a rich communication with soul and spirit. We find our clear truth. We can then speak our voices and hold our place as the feminine wisdom keepers of our time.
I’m not talking about goddess worship or putting on a red skirt, although I love both! I’m talking about skillful use of physical & subtle practices, herbal allies, and concrete information about the language of our bodies. Tuning in to our cycle can also bring our personal health into balance, fuel a creative life, help prepare us for childbirth, and lay the foundation for our menopausal transition.
E-mail Alison Wood now at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject MOON if you are interested in staying connected about this and future Moon-listening in Point Reyes and Sebastopol.
This Series will be held on three Sunday evenings in early Spring, closest to the new and full moons. The first two will be in a private home in Point Reyes Station and the last, an herb walk to the beach. We will meet every other week for a full moon cycle so we can track and share together. We will keep the group small and intimate. Commitment to all three sessions is encouraged, drop-ins are welcome if there is space. Women in all stages of womb-hood are welcome; if you are pregnant or menstruating, you will be especially nurtured. Herbal tea & simple meal of rice & dahl will be served for the first two sessions, potluck beach picnic on the last week.
Each in-home session will take place on a Sunday from 4:00-6:00PM, and Mama Ocean Day will be from 2:00-6:00PM. Our time will be equal parts yoga & womb-listening practice; lecture/presentation; and discussion/sharing. For the in-home sessions we’ll be under the sky as much as warmly possible. Beach day is weather permitting.
