Farming For Mother Nature
with Paul Kaiser of Singing Frog Farms
Thursday, November 5, 5:30-7:30PM
Grange at SHED, 25 North Street, Healdsburg

The UN has declared 2015 International Year of the Soils. In honor of this most important aspect of farming, join us at SHED for a discussion co-presented by the Dry Creek Valley Association, Russian Riverkeeper, and Sonoma Resource Conservation District on the topic that is vital to all agriculture.

Tillage is one of the oldest tenets of agriculture. It can be difficult to imagine breaking away from such a deep-seated practice, but what if we did? Join Paul Kaiser of Sebastopol’s award winning
Singing Frog Farms for a presentation on how intensive no-till non-mechanized organic agriculture can be a solution to numerous local and global problems.

Paul will discuss how soil health affects food insecurity, climate change, nutrient depletion, water pollution, habitat loss, and small farm economic viability. Farmers, gardeners, ranchers, and the agriculturally curious are welcome.
