Mother Rusa is an ancient Syrian Goddess.  She is the Goddess of Fate, Destiny, and Good Fortune.  Rusa is known as the Evening Star and a Goddess of the Moon.  She is our Mother and so a protector of the people.  As a Goddess of fate she helps to steer the future.

Mother Rusa weaves our fate and fortune.  She brings us together to Pray in community space within our Temple. So many Goddess and Womyn spaces are dispersing.  What is the fate of the Goddess culture and how can we stand up, support, and sustain the Goddess Movement, Goddess Culture, and Womyn’s Rights.

Syria is in the fourth year of a devastating Civil War that includes horrible violence and fighting, and a mass exodus from the country. Over 6.5 million people have been displaced within Syria, while more than 3 million refugees have fled.  It is a devastating humanitarian crisis that is affecting the world and causing countries to come together to examine how refugees will be assisted.  We will be sending special prayers for the people and the land of Syria.

For the altar please bring a red, white, or green candle, as well as any images of Mother Rusa or Syria.

Come and celebrate with us on this extraordinary night!

If you are interested in participating in a ritual or celebration, please help out by doing the following:
Please bring a snack to share (if possible, food of the culture we are celebrating), washable eating utensils (bowl, cup, plate, utensils, etc. In honor of Mother Earth, we do not provide disposable items), a candle (for safety reasons, we highly recommend a candle in a glass container, often called a novena), and pillow or chair to sit on to all rituals. For more information about our rituals please visit our FAQ page.

Please see our current series schedule and check the web page for the specific ritual to see what items to bring and how to prepare yourself. Please take the time to read this, especially if you are a newcomer. New information is added from time to time so even if you feel you have already seen this, it is important to check back in every now and then.
