Hekate, Queen of the Witches
with Yeshe Rabbit of The Sacred Well
Thursday, October 29, 7:00-9:00PM
Homestead Apothecary, 486 49th Street, #C, Oakland, 510-495-6549

Known as Hekate to the Ancient Greeks, and Hecate to the Ancient Romans, the Queen of Night, Witchcraft, and Crossroads teaches us about the journey of life, death, and rebirth. In this workshop, we will learn about the mythology of Hekate. She is the midwife of the young and the Bright Maiden as well as the tender of the Ancestors. Yeshe Rabbit will teach chants, songs, and herbs sacred to Hekate, and the class will work together to make a special incense in Her honor. At the end of the class, we will perform a brief but powerful ritual to honor Hekate in her capacity as Mother of Magic. Please wear black to this event if you are able, and bring a black veil, scarf or shawl to cover your head during our ritual working.
