Alameda Point Collaborative Harvest Festival: Mad Farm Science
Saturday, October 24, 11:00AM-3:00PM
APC Farm2Market Farm, 2600 Barbers Point Road, Alameda

APC’s annual Harvest Festival is a celebration of urban farming, the harvest, and our unique community. October is also Farm-to-School month, and we are celebrating by inviting Mad Scientists of all ages to join us for fun, fun experiments.

Guests will also enjoy our children’s carnival, live entertainment, and tasty treats featuring Farm2Market produce - all on our spectacular urban farm. We hope to see you there!

Can you eat nails for breakfast?

Which sinks faster in water, an avocado or a watermelon?

How many women have commanded the Space Shuttle?

Find out the answers to these questions and many more at our Mad Farm Science fair. Each child (or the young at heart) will be issued a laboratory checklist and sent on a mission to try a variety of experiments, and find the answers to some tough science questions!

Completed checklists can be turned in at the International Space Prize Station for cool prizes, including pumpkins that you can carve at the festival.
