CAYA Sprouts Family Circle December 2016: Holiday Cookie Bake

This month, the Sprouts will gather together for a holiday cookie bake!  We will prepare, decorate and infuse holiday treats with our magic, while we share mulled cider, snacks and Yuletide stories, songs and traditions with each other.

Saturday, December 17, 11:00AM-3:00PM

Location: El Cerrito, CA, close to the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station
(Please RSVP for address)

RSVP (by December 15):

*Note: If you are not yet a member, you will need to request to join the Google Group before you can RSVP.

After the baking and decorating is complete, we will bless the treats, pack them up to be shared at that evening’s CAYA Solstice of Eternal Renewal ritual (as a cakes and ale offering), and pack up any remaining cookies to take home and share with family, friends and neighbors.

Several types of cookie dough and lots of decorations will be provided, but if anyone has a special holiday cookie dough recipe (or anything else you would like to prepare and/or share), feel free to bring along - there is no such thing as too many holiday treats!  We will also have some cookie tins, rolling pins, aprons, parchment paper, and an assortment of cookie cutters on hand, but if you have any of these or other baking supplies you think we might find useful, please bring those along as well.

Coffee, mulled cider and light snacks will be provided. $10-$15 materials donation requested - no one turned away for lack of funds.

Come As You Are Pagan Congregation’s Sprouts Family Circles are monthly gatherings of eclectic, interfaith families with a desire to co-create safe, fun, loving, magical, child-centric spaces where kids and their caregivers can come together to deepen their relationship with Nature, Mother Earth and each other. We honor all spiritual paths and strive to create a mutually supportive environment in which to explore and develop our own unique practices to integrate Earth-based spirituality and parenting.

Families of all sorts, with children of all ages are welcome. Activities can be shortened or modified to make them suitable for even the youngest child, and the older children are encouraged to deepen their practice and develop their leadership skills by assisting adults with the planning and facilitation of structured activities, as well as assisting with caregiving and mentoring during the kids free-play/adult discussion time.
