Breathe deeply and relax. Close your eyes. Let your breathing become slow, even, more and more relaxing.

Relax, relax into the darkness. In your mind’s eye, see these numbers as I count them down.

A beautiful waterfall of white light is flowing down on you. It flows down on your head, helping your head to

relax. You feel your head relaxing. It moves down over your neck and shoulders. Your neck and shoulders

are relaxing. Now it flows down over your arms. You feel your arms relaxing. It flows down your back. Your

back is letting go and relaxing. It flows over your chest and stomach, helping your chest and stomach relax.

You feel your chest and stomach relax. It moves down over your legs and feet. You feel your legs and feet

letting go and relaxing. The beautiful waterfall of white light is flowing over your whole body. You are very

peaceful and relaxed.

You are lying on the banks of the river Nile, the river of Life, the water of creation. The sun casts a late afternoon glow. Reeds, rushes and other water plants surround you. The ground beneath you is moist and soft as you feel yourself gently sinking into it, the wet earth conforming around you. The lapping of the river’s edge whispers. What does it have to say to you ?

Gently, the tide begins to rise as the sun begins to set. The water of the river is now gently brushing against your side. And you feel it seeping under your body, the earth beneath you growing ever more saturated and wet. As the water from the river starts to trickle and then flow around you, you feel your body effortlessly lifted by the water and starting to float along the river. You completely relax into where the current wants to take you, going with the flow. When you relax into the flow, where does the River of Life want to take you ?

As the sun disappears below the horizon and the sky begins to grow dark, a million stars, perhaps more, dot the sky. As you lie on the waters that support you along with all of life, you now feel as if you have simply sailed off the edge of the horizon and are now floating weightless in the river of stars that make up the cosmos. Splashes of stardust give way to the ripples of space and time. When you dive into the pools of stardust, what ripples do you create in the fabric of space and time ?

As you drift along the Celestial River, even the stars and the cosmos begin to sink into the distance. Stardust has become nothing but a mist that surrounds you and extends into eternity. These are the mists of space and time...these are the mists of time and space...these are the mists of space and time...these are the mists of time and space...these are the mists of space and time.

{ spray mist over the face of each person as the phrase is repeated ... mist includes one or more of the following : Chamomile, Rose, Myrrh, White Willow, Lavender }

You are wafting back, and back, and back to the primordial waters, to the wellspring of creation. You are surrounded by the nothingness of individual drops that come together to form the ocean of creation. Waves of primordial waters rise up to greet you. You sink into them, to your knees, to your waist, to your chest, to your shoulders, to your neck. Relax as you allow yourself to float into nothingness. You are becoming a single drop in existence, a single drop of creation that flows and merges with other drops. What drop of creation do you give yourself over to being ? What ocean of existence do you want to merge with ?

Now give yourself over fully and immerse yourself completely into that which came before. Your head sinks beneath the primordial waters, purifying all that was, is and shall be. Relax...let go...give yourself over to complete and total immersion. Relax...let go...give yourself over to complete and total immersion. – allow a few minutes of meditation –

You begin to feel yourself rising. As you come nearer to the surface, you become more and more aware of lightness seeping into the darkness. You turn your face upward, towards the light, as you come up for air...come up for air...come up for air...come up for air...come up for air.

{ remove the blue cloth from each person as the phrase is repeated }

You emerge from the waters into a bright, sun filled day. You feel completely refreshed, renewed, revitalised...reborn from the primordial waters of creation. Gentle waves begin to carry you towards shore. You’re becoming more and more keenly aware of a new you, a new existence. You reach the shore of the river and gently work your way out of the water. You lie down on the moist, clean earth. The sun is rising brightly overhead as a light rain begins to fall. You open your mouth and stick out your tongue to catch the raindrops. It’s a new dawn, a new day, a new life. This is the existence of your own creation...drink it in...drink it in...drink it in...

As you prepare to find out what possibilities, what life, await you in this new existence, take time to offer up gratitude to the god Hapy and the goddess Anqet who provide the waterway for you to get from where you were to who you will become. They bring us the floods that wash away the old and make way for the new. So when the floods come, dive into them rather than swimming to the safety of the shore.

And when you are ready, as I start to count up, begin to come back to this time and to this place.

You're becoming more aware of the sounds around you, the sense of the floor under you, the people around you. Begin to wiggle your toes and fingers, feeling the earth beneath you and the form of your body as we count up to a place of complete consciousness.
